How to film your pump

A short video of your pump running lets us see whether it's drawing suction. When the pump is working, the white diaphragm inside each backflow protector balloons out and back with every cycle.

  1. Attach both shield kits and put the pump on a bench. You don't need to be pumping, and it's better if you're not.
  2. Turn the pump on in expression mode, at the fastest speed and the highest suction.
  3. Hold your phone steady, or rest it against something, close to one backflow protector and from the side. Then do the same for the other side.
