Grab a ruler
Any ruler with millimetres works. If you have calipers, even better! Do this at a relaxed time, not right after a session.

Measure the diameter
Measure the widest part of your nipple in millimetres. Not the areola, just the nipple itself.

Pick your shield
Your shield size will be the size that will give you the snuggest fit to your nipple diameter. If you measure at 15mm, choose the 16mm shield and so on. A snug fit will give you more comfortable pumping.
Our pumps ship with a 24mm, and this is fine for a starting point, but most women will find a shield with a snugger fit gives better results. Your size can change over your breastfeeding journey, so keep in mind that you may want to measure again. If you need help, just let us know.
