Love the new back flow protector tubing! Less to clean and the pump seems more efficient now!

Perfectly fit, enable highest efficiency of my S1 pump. It will be best to change a set in half year time I reckon.

This product is fantastic – fits the average size. Good suction and seal. Tightens around the bottle well

Backflow protector keeps building moisture inside after every pump. Annoying because there’s already so much to clean.

Hi Brooke, sorry for confusion. This is the job of the backflow protector – it is doing it’s job!
That’s what makes the pump a closed system pump and keeps that moisture out of your pump motor and casing to avoid mould and bacteria in there, and damage to the motor from moisture.
Good job cleaning it though… you want to keep them clean and keep them dry for each use, to avoid that moisture going into the tubing and motor. 🙂

Product arrived within 48 hours of purchase online. I read the shield sizing advice on their website and it was spot on. I have successfully increased my supply and in shorter time from the moment I changed the shield size and replaced parts. Very happy!!!

You’d think larger the shield size, longer the tunnel would be, and vice versa but this is not the case with Spectra.
All shield sizes have the SAME tunnel length!
Am using 20 mm and 28 mm, yes! different size nipples.
With 28 mm nipple hits the end of the tunnel and is very painful unless I use a very low suction (1 or 2), with the other side using 20 mm can’t feel any suction at all. Medela shields do have shorter tunnel for 20 mm and longer for 27 mm.
Unable to use the pump because of poorly designed breast shields, shame!

Hi Sri, thanks for your message.
Shield size has nothing to do with the length of the shield, and only to do with the diameter of your nipple.
If you nipple is hitting the end of the shield, this is an indicator the shield is too big for you, and you need a smaller shield size, as too much of your breast is entering the shield – usually areola.
Shield size has nothing to do with suction either, so I would suggest maybe getting some help to figure out best shield fit, and possibly how your nipple is being positioned in the shield prior to turning the pump on? It does sound like there might be some things to improve on here to help you with your pumping.
Please PM us so we can help you determine your best shield fit. 🙂

Question
Rebecca –
Will this fit on a spectra S2 double pump? If so I buy two shields correct?
Thanks

Hi Rebecca, thanks for checking in!
Yes, these will fit your S2, and you are right, you would need two to double pump. 🙂
Let us know if we can help with anything else.
Have a good weekend.
